Juliano Krue Valdi cast as young Michael Jackson in the biopic



Michael Jackson’s biopic is finally taking shape as makers have cast Juliano Krue Valdi in the leading role as the young King of Pop. The nine-year-old actor has been cast as a young Michael Jackson in the biopic that will tell the story of how Michael became the world’s most famous entertainer that we know today.

The Michael Jackson biopic will have Juliano Valdi play Jackson “as he and his brothers rise to fame as the Jackson 5”.

In a statement, Valdi said, “This opportunity is really important to me because Michael Jackson is the King of Pop, and he is very special in my heart. I’ve been dancing to his songs for five years now. He makes me feel really special and makes me feel good about myself. I love the energy of Michael Jackson.”

Krue has amassed nearly 150,000 followers on Instagram and is known for his Jackson-inspired dance moves and costumes.

Valdi is repped by Tanesia Tramell at 117 Artists Management and Paradigm.

A little bit more about MICHAEL, the Biopic



The fandom is getting either exciting or nervous about the upcoming official Michael Jackson Biopic and since the announcement of Jaafar Jackson and Juliano Krue Valdi playing Michael Jackson, internet gone mad!

While we are still waiting for more cast announcements, we can expect a big name, well, it should be a big name on the bill. “Bohemian Rhapsody” has Rami Malek as the main character Freddie Mercury, “Elvis” has Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker. Maybe the role of Katherine or Joe Jackson will see a big Hollywood name, unless John Branca casts someone famous for his own role?

We already talked about the Director Antoine Fuqua (Director), Graham King and John Branca (both Producers) in 2023 but now few more production names have been announced.

Barbara Ling is set to be Production Designer. She won an Academy Award for Best Production Design for her work on “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” (2019) directed by Quentin Tarantino and her latest work could be seen in “A Man Called Otto” (2022) directed by Marc Foster.



As we know, makeup is everything in cinema, the makeup department will be held by Bill Corso. Corso worled on over 70 films since he started in 1986 and best known for “Deadpool” (2016), “Foxcatcher” (2014) and “A Series of Unfortunate Events” (2004).



In the special effects department, we hear that Eric Cook will be the special effects coordinator. Cook has worked on over 50 movies and the list is impressive from “Twister” (1993), “Starship Troopers” (1997) to the most recent “Black Adam” (2022) and “Rebel Moon” (2023). He will be joined by visual effects production Manager Wesley Barker who also worked on “Black Adam” but also get credits for “Shazam” (2019) and “Spy Kids: Armageddon” (2023); and visual effects supervisor Louis Morin who worked on “Beauty and the Beat” (2014), “Arrival” (2016) and “Beau Is Afraid” (2023)

Michael Jackson was all about music and dance, right? So let see who is the music supervisor of this biopic!

John Warhurst is a British sound editor and he won the Academy Award for Best Sound Editing for the film “Bohemian Rapsody” so it is no surprise that Graham King called him back for this job. Warhurst hasn’t done much: “Les Miserables” (2012), “One Direction: This Is Us” (20130 and of course “Bohemian Rhapsody” (2018).



Now to the dance! Richard and Anthony Talauega are known by the fans for many reasons. The brothers were first seen at the end of the HIStory World Tour as dancers and then on “GHOSTS”. Since, the Michael Jackson Estate trusted them with different projects, the first worked on Cirque du Soleil “Immortal” and have now replaced Travis Payne at Cirque du Soleil “MJ ONE” as main choreographers. They also choreographed the live performance of “Slave To The Rhythm” at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards with an hologram of Michael.

The Estate have also made them part of the creative team for “MJ The Musical” and now they will be the main choreographers for “Michael” the official biopic.

To be honest, and no disrespect to Rich & Tone, they were part of a very small section of Michael’s career during his life time and having only them to teach Jaafar Jackson on how to move like Michael is not so great. I am sure for those who went to see the musical, you saw few weird and un-michaelesque dance moves and steps. But I guess as they are already in the Estate’s payroll, they are now on the Biopic.



As for the costumes, well I can bet the name Michael Bush will pop-in soon as he is also on the Estate’s payroll. But this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Excited or nervous? A bit of both! As a fan, I am excited to see Michael Jackson name on the big screen. But I am also very nervous! The first reason is because we saw in “MJ The Musical” discrepancy in the storyline. Things did not happen at the time the play is set. Some scenes of Michael are somehow a bit mean and not truthful. So yes, I am nervous the Estate will change the real story of Michael Jackson, the man he was. Not to mention the latest Estate projects such as their latest Merchandise endeavour or “Thriller 40” have been an absolute disaster. Will they put all the efforts necessary in this biopic?

So time will tell and for sure I will be in the cinema in 2025 to watch this.

Colman Domingo to Play Joe Jackson in “Michael” biopic



Colman Domingo has been named to play Joe Jackson in the upcoming Michael Jackson Biopic.

Known for his roles on stage and screen, Domingo has received various accolades including a Primetime Emmy Award and nominations for two Tony Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and an Academy Award.

Fans might recognise him form “Candyman” (2021), “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” (2023) or “The Color Purple” (2023).

“I’m excited to be a part of a film that explores both the complicated soul of the legendary Michael Jackson as well as his impact on music and culture as a global icon. Not only am I fortunate to have a rich, complex and flawed character to portray in Joe Jackson, but I also have a front row seat for Jaafar’s incredible transformation. After seeing him in rehearsal, my mind was blown. There is something divine about the way that Jaafar is channeling his late uncle. His talent and embodiment of Michael’s essence is simply on another level.”

Director Antoine Fuqua added:

“Colman has such incredible range – he puts in the work to deeply inhabit his characters and understand their true essence and motivation. I’m grateful to be working with an actor with his passion and ability to portray the many sides of Joe Jackson: a husband, a father and a manager.”

Producer Graham King said:

He is not the big name we were expected but as they drip feeding us with the actors’ names, we shall see!

Nia Long to Play Katherine Jackson in “Michael” biopic



Nia Long will play Katherine Jackson, the mother of Michael Jackson, in director Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming biographical drama.

It’s been previously announced that Michael’s nephew Jaafar Jackson will play Michael while Colman Domingo will portray the family’s patriarch, Joe Jackson.

“Nia has delivered iconic performances throughout her career,” Fuqua said in a statement. “I’ve been a fan for a long time because her characters stay with you. I’m excited to now work alongside her as she pours all of that into Katherine Jackson: a woman who was the glue, the rock, and the heart of the Jackson family during its best and its most turbulent times.”

“Katherine Jackson is an incredible pillar of strength and grace for the entire Jackson family,” Long said. “As a mother, she was selfless and endured forces beyond her control yet still managed to help build a legacy beyond measure.”

“Beyond Nia’s incredible talent, I was deeply moved by her connection to the material and her commitment to honoring Katherine and the love she had for her son,” King said in a statement.

Long recently starred in Netflix’s comedy “You People” and is best known for movies such as “Boyz n the Hood,” “Love Jones, Soul Food,” “The Best Man” and “Big Momma’s House.” On the TV front, she had memorable roles on the sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and the crime drama “Third Watch.”

Long is represented by Verve Talent and Literary Agency, Narrative, and Meyer & Downs.

It seems that the Estate is doing a “Thriller40” tracklist trick on us and revealing one actor’s name for the biopic every week. The names are only sent to the media directly.

So next name reveal will be next Thursday.

Miles Teller will play John Branca in “Michael”, the biopic



We wanted a A-lister for this biopic and of course the famous actor will play Branca! Last week we had rumours, now it is confirmed!

Miles Teller is joining the cast of the Michael Jackson biopic Michael.

Lionsgate and Universal Pictures announced in a press release Tuesday that Teller will play attorney John Branca in the upcoming film.

Teller’s Branca is described as “the unyielding attorney who shepherded Michael Jackson’s career as he transitioned from a singing sensation in a boy band to the world-renowned King of Pop.”

Teller is known for playing Peter Hayes in the Divergent movies and has also starred in Whiplash, Top Gun: Maverick and The Offer.

“Miles is a compelling screen presence, whom I’ve admired since watching him in Whiplash. He’s the perfect actor to capture John’s enigmatic persona,” producer Graham King said. “From our earliest development conversations, it was clear the emotional connection that John still has to Michael. He graciously allowed us to use him as a character in the film and I’m thrilled that it’s Miles who will portray a relationship that extended over 3 decades, through Michael’s greatest triumphs and most difficult days.”

Our opinion is that all pointed to that direction, first Branca started to appear on social media, redone a website in his name, started “King of Style” project and now it seems that the Biopic will turn around Branca and the A-lister actor will bring huge attention to Branca’s name.
Like in “Elvis” biopic where Tom Hanks played the colonel, the focus will be on Branca’s character. We might be wrong there but frankly, the A-lister actor should have gone to either Joe, Katherine or even Frank DiLeo.

Wandering if they will reveal other cast names now we have a big name? Let’s wait next week!

First images from “Michael” the biopic



As we know, the Michael Jackson is in production right now in Los Angeles and after only a hand full of cast members announced, with the latest being Miles Teller , passerby in Los Angeles have captured the first images of the shoot.

We can see Colman Domingo and Nia Long dressed as Michael Jackson’s parents Joe and Katherine Jackson. Also spotted is the TikToker who is playing young Michael and other actors playing the young Jackson 5 brothers.

The pictures, the costumes and location suggest that the scenes are for the early days of the Jackson family when they moved in Los Angeles in 1968.









After the announcement of Miles Teller playing John Branca, most of the fan community is wary of the authenticity of the story of the biopic. We are also waiting for more cast members to be announced such as those young actors playing the Jackson 5.

Who is playing Jackie and Jermaine Jackson in the upcoming biopic



In the last few weeks, the Michael Jackson Estate has been spoon feeding the media with names of actors playing in the upcoming Michael Jackson Biopic simply called “Michael”.

This week is was A-lister actor Miles Teller, you know the lawyer that has been fired by Michael Jackson multiple times, has been proven in court that he was illegally diverting funds from Michael, came out with a questionable will and released 3 fake songs on the first posthumous album? Yes, that one.

Anyway, the Estate has also clearly leaked few pictures from the set. Clearly to keep the biopic in the news and people’s mind.

As fans are like investigators, from those pictures we found out the names of the young actors playing Jackie and Jermaine Jackson.

Nathaniel McIntyre is a young actor who has been doing voice over for cartoons such as “Team Umizoomi” and “Tickety Toc”, he also appeared in few TV shows with the latest being “The Equalizer” (2022). Now, Nathaniel will be playing young Jackie Jackson in the Estate’s biopic.



Jayden Harville has currently not done major work in TV or cinema but has been part of a choir which might have lead him to become young Jermain Jackson.

The Estate of Michael Jackson just released a photo of Jaafar Jackson who will be playing Michael Jackson in the upcoming biopic “Michael”.

With only the following statement “The journey has begun…”

The official biopic is due for April 2025 and has sparkled interests in the fan community, some for having an A-Lister and some for the excitement of having a biopic about the King of Pop.



Photograph by the renowned photographer Kevin Mazur, who documented Michael’s final rehearsal, and is now the first to photograph Jaafar in character as Michael.

Following the post on social media, the response of the fans have been very positive and all impressed on how Jaafar transformed well to Michael.

Im April 2025 soll mit "Michael" die filmische Biografie des 2009 verstorbenen "King of Pop" Michael Jackson in die Kinos kommen. Die Hauptrolle ist zur Familiensache geworden. Michael Jacksons Neffe Jaafar spielt seinen berühmten Onkel. Die bislang mangelnde Schauspielerfahrung des 27-Jährigen wird durch dessen frappierenden Ähnlichkeit mit ihm wettgemacht.

Auf einem ersten Szenenbild aus "Michael", das die Produktionsfirma Lionsgate jetzt veröffentlicht hat, dürfte es selbst eingefleischten Jacko-Fans schwerfallen, Onkel und Neffen auseinanderzuhalten.
