The IMDb website updated information on the new Michael Jackson biopic, "Michael," adding the names of the people in charge of the visual effects, camera and electricity department, casting department, and additional staff:

Visual Effects:
Pasquale Antonelli (Digital Production Manager), worked in films such as "Spider-Man 2", "Lion King (live action), "Fast and Furious 7", "The Jungle Book", among others.
Wesley Barker (Visual Effects Production Manager), worked in films such as Guardians of the Galaxy, "The Nun 2", among others.

Department of Camera and Electricity:
Michael Ambrose (Boss), worked in films such as "Black panther", "Transformers", "Venom", "Star Trek", "Fast and Furious 7, 8 & 9", "Captain Marvel", "Pursuit of Happiness," among others.
Casting Department:

Elizabeth McDowell (casting assistant)

Additional people:
Bob Lewis (financial controller), oversaw the financing of productions such as The Walking Dead (complete series), among others.
Dettric Shantel (researcher)

Michael Jackson Biopic to resume in January 2024



On November 9th, Lionsgate Entertainment had a conference call regarding their Q2 2024 Earnings.

Jon Feltheimer – CEO, Jimmy Barge – CFO, Michael Burns – COO, Kevin Beggs – Chariman of the Motion Picture Group, Nilay Shah, head of Investor Relations and Joe Drake, president of Worldwide TV discussed the foreplaning of the corporation and the future revenue coming into place during the Quarterly Calendar of April, May and June.

Jon Feltheimer confirmed that as the actor strike is over, they will finish team up production for several of their biggest fiscal earnings which includes Michael Jackson Biopic.

Later on in the conversation Joe Drake confirmed: “Just quickly on the Motion Picture side, we were able to strategically really get ahead of it. We were able to secure a number of waivers and really lined our productions up so that as soon as we came out of the strike, we could be running the Michael Jackson movie starts in January.”

The due release of the biopic is still set for 2024. Depending on how rapidly they can film and do the post-production, it seems that Lionsgate is confident to deliver in due time.

They also recently confirmed crew and staff on the biopic:

Robert Richardson will be in charge of the cinematography. Kimberly Hardin and Victoria
Thomas are in charge of the casting. The production design will be done by Academy Award winner, Barbara Ling. Visual effects will be attributed to Pasquale Antonelli and Wesley Barker.

More cast and crew will be announced soon.

Also, ich weiß ja nicht, ob das wirklich stimmt, es soll angeblich so auf der IMDB-Seite stehen, also, wenn das wirklich das offizielle Filmplakat sein soll, dann ist es aber mehr als phantasielos, sieht aus wie für einen Zeichentrick-Film!

Finde ich gerade bei diesem Carlo Riley sehr komisch, weil der eigentlich immer Sachen teilt, die auch stimmen, deshalb hab ich es gepostet, aber über den Film an sich findet man schon etwas:

“MICHAEL”, the biopic to hit cinemas in April 2025



After many rumours on the release of “MICHAEL”, the biopic, we have finally a set date: April 18, 2025.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jaafar Jackson, the movie will be distributed by Lionsgate in America and Universal everywhere else.

Lionsgate also announced that the production will begin on January 22 this year.

No further casting names have been released yet but we will keep you updated.
