Michael Jackson's my driving force: Ganesh Hegde

Singer-choreographer Ganesh Hegde, who's all set to release his second music album Let's Party!, is an ardent fan of the late Michael Jackson and has dedicated his album to him.

"For me, the name Michael Jackson means professionalism, hard work, starting from scratch and becoming so huge he lights up my life," says Ganesh. He admits that there are lots of facets in his songs, that he wouldn't have thought of, if not for Michael Jackson's inspiration. "I feel that it's because of him, that I can churn out particular melodies or dance moves. He's been my driving force," he adds.

It was in 1996 when the world's greatest entertainer had come to India for a performance, that Ganesh had done the opening act for him, and got to meet him backstage. "It was as if I was a child again and had been handed the moon. It was the defining moment of my life," says Ganesh with a smile.
