Google Play "verschenkt" Thriller Album

Hi MJFAM!
Many of you have seen tweets and other social media posts today announcing that Google Play is giving away Thriller in the U.S. This is a great promotion that Sony set up with the permission of the Estate. Google Play (or any retailer) is free to set pricing (including giving away) any items that they wish - the label is still paid for those units, just like any other record. The Estate appreciates Google Play wanting to pay homage to the biggest selling album of all time and it’s a great way for Google to celebrate the album and encourage interest in Michael’s music by new fans!

einige von Euch haben tweets und andere Post in den sozialen Netzwerken gelesen, dass Google Play das Album Thriller in der USA "verschenkt". Das ist eine große Promotion welche Sony in Absprache mit dem Estate gestartet hat. Google Play (oder jeder Einzelhändler) ist in seiner Preiskallulation nicht eingeschränkt (inklusive Geschenke) für jedes Stück - das Label wurde für solche Gegebenheiten bezahlt, genauso wie jedes andere Album. Der/Die/Das Estate schätzt Google Play für seinen Wunsch, das meistverkaufte Album aller Zeiten zu huldigen und es ist ein guter Weg für Google das Album zu feiern und auf diesem Wege auch das Interesse in Michaels Music neuen Fans zu fördern.
